BEST FOOT FORWARD
"As easy as riding a bike", the well worn phrase we've heard a million times, and we all probably remember our first two wheeled wobbles. Old school beginner bikes had those ubiquitous stabilisers that effectively disabled the crucial function of being able to lean a bike to turn. Balance bikes change all that.
A balance bike is the way to start your life behind bars and the Orange Peeler is designed with some great features to make it the perfect bike to get your young ones zooming about fearlessly. It will teach the crucial skill of balance and the essentials of bike riding. Confident control will come quickly and learning to steer using their body weight means your child will find the transition to pedalling much easier than trying to learn everything all at once. Children who have graduated from a balance bike will generally find they just need to add pedalling to their new basic bike skills.
The Peeler is designed to be a sturdy off-road balance bike with some enviable features to get your kids loving the rough stuff. Even with a balance bike, the geometry plays a key role in ensuring the bike handles safely and let's you child's riding flow. The Peeler is equipped with 'proper' tyres that will provide comfort and long-lasting grip.
We have also added a disc brake mount to the frame for the addition of a rear brake. As confidence grows your child can also learn the art of braking and of course, skidding - who doesn't love to do that? Which brings us to another neat detail; the front and rear wheels are interchangeble which let's you easily swap front to rear, when the back tyre has skidded itself less knobbly. As they say - it's the little things...
So best foot forward, get your kids on to a proper little mountain bike and they'll be off to a flying start.
