Rocker Type
The Salomon HPS - Taka Splitboard is built for intrepid backcountry explorers hitting the skin track less travelled. Crafted by pro riders Wolle Nyvelt and Takaharu Nakai to mirror their do anything, go anywhere approach to the mountains, this split delivers massive float and control in the steep and deep, with lightweight Ghost Green Core construction that hits the sweet spot of uphill performance and downhill power. With pre-cut skins Pomoca included, the Taka is raring to go on day one.
Powder Camber – Camber between feet for carving and precision, and huge rocker in the nose for flotation in very deep powder.
Shape
Tapered Directional – Tail width is slightly tapered (2-20mm). This loosens up turning initiation and improves flotation in deeper snow without sacrificing edge hold on hardpack.
Radial Sidecut – Radial is the classic sidecut for consistent response forward and switch.
Core
Ghost Green Core – Ghost Green Core components have been selected and designed to optimize pop and reduce weight while utilizing sustainable attributes of a super light paulownia wood.
Popster – Popster's shaped core profile thins out under foot and thickens outside your bindings before tapering again at tip and tail to maximize the natural snap and pop of wood. Feels like your skateboard kicktail finally connected with your snowboard.
Laminates
Biaxial Medium Density Fiberglass – Medium density European-made fiberglass layers guarantee a consistent quality level, for light and lively boards.
Sidewalls
ABS Sidewalls – The molecular structure of ABS can be described as a concrete bar with rubber nuggets inside, combining toughness for energy transfer and dampening properties for impact absorption.
Base
Sintered EG – Engineered for a super fast glide in everything from fresh pow to sticky spring snow. Sintered material provides superior wax retention, Gallium strengthens impact resistance, and the Electra finish gives a turbocharged glide.
Fine Stone Finish – Fine stone finish helps speed up in powder or softer snow conditions.
Edges
All-Mountain Edge Bevel – A 1° edge holding tune throughout the key parts of the sidecut meets a 2° bevel between the feet. This delivers the most solid edge hold with no hang-ups.

Custom POMOCA Skins Included – Salomon provides a custom set of skins for easy use in the mountains and maximum touring efficiency.
PLUM Hooks – PLUM hooks are specifically made for high performance splitboarding. Their asymmetric profile provides a perfect link between all the parts. They are light and easy to use.
